After rumors that circulated more than a year, Apple has now completely opened an office in Indonesia in March 2014. As reported MakeMac today, information about Apple’s new office in Jakarta can be found on the website of the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia as well as in the ‘ contact ‘website Apple Indonesia.
Apple’s office is located at the World Trade Center II in Jakarta – the same building as the office Baidu and Intel Indonesia Indonesia. We contacted the office to ask this Apple and Apple representatives confirmed that it really is Apple’s office, but representatives of the company can not disclose further details.
Last month we see new jobs for Apple office in Indonesia to build a retail position manager, carrier account manager, and HR business partner.
What is the purpose of this office in Indonesia? Perhaps we will soon see the official Apple Store in this town, or maybe Apple will give priority to Indonesia for the launch date of the product – as happened last year in China.
There is still no information related to the Apple Store in Jakarta. In the absence of an official store in the country, Indonesia can only buy Apple products through authorized resellers like iBox Indonesia Apple store or through mobile telecommunications company.
This is the second major technology company offices were opened in Indonesia this year. In March, Facebook opened an office in Jakarta to empower business development in the country.
